About us

Reporting to the Supply Chain Category Leader, this is a newly created role supporting Dyson expansion plans in Johor, Malaysia.

About the role

  • Responsible for Production Scheduling, Inventory Management, Demand & Order Fulfilment, Supplier Management and Material Management.

  • Provide short term and long term demand requirement to factories and supplier to ensure capacity and material secure.

  • Review and provide supply plan commit to meet demand requirement.

  • Identify and coordinate with Production Management team and Supplier to resolve all the capacity bottleneck and material supply risk issue to meet order and demand requirement.

  • Responsible for approving all Purchase Orders based on company’s authority matrix.

  • Ensure material replenishment and delivery from supplier on time to meet production schedule requirement and avoid disruption to production.

  • Work closely with warehouse team for shipments arrangement to Contract Manufacturers.

  • Establish and monitor MRP/ERP system parameters for inventory management with objective of optimizing stock levels and strike a balance between withholding cost and order fulfillment.

  • Develop and achieve supply chain strategies and KPIs aligned to company blueprint, lead SCM monthly performance review with management team.

  • Drive continuous improvement projects with cross functional team across all areas in supply chain to increase efficiency/productivity and reduce operation cost.

  • Strengthen supply chain team by identifying the talent and continue to develop the team via proper training.


About you

  • Degree Level or higher-level education – APIC’s supply chain management advantageous.

  • At least 6 year(s) of working experience in the related field (supply planning/purchasing/inventory management) is required for this position.

  • Excellent verbal and written English. Good numerical skills.

  • PC literate (MS Words, MS Excel, MS Outlook, and etc).

  • Highly motivated team player, mature and able to work independently.

  • Self-motivated, accurate and highest ethical standards. Prepared to work hard to get the right result for Dyson, be tough yet be fair with our supplier network.

  • Able to work under a fast-paced environment and with tight schedules and strict guidelines.

  • An analytical thinker and a strong communicator with an eye for detail able to deliver efficient, effective and flexible solutions to meet production requirements. Excellent in materials management.

  • SAP knowledge, with some engineering background will be advantageous.

  • Teamwork: collaboration, knowledge sharing, teamwork & perpetual learning.

  • Communications: clearly communicate, collaborate and tailor your communication style & content to different audiences.

  • Ownership: decision-making, entrepreneurial & business aware, risk taking, lateral thinking & perseverance.

  • Integrity: apply highest ethical standards to others and self, and be fair and compliant in dealing with the supplier network.
