About the role
Reporting to the Senior Supply Chain Manager, the Supply Planner will be facilitating the Demand Processes at the (multi-)market level, consolidating the rolling forecast for Finished Goods and Accessories (FG&A) for short-, mid- and long-term horizon. Ensuring the adherence to the demand methodologies, the Demand Planner is responsible for the operational submission in compliance with the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process. The incumbent supports, challenges, and drives the quality of the forecast, with key focus to create the most realistic forecast possible, measured by forecast accuracy and bias (KPIs).
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
Acts as a liaison between the individual Markets, and the cluster-based supply chain team on Demand signals and Process improvement
Collaborates with other departments (particularly Sales, Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain-Inventory Planner and Management) for Forecast and Demand planning topics
Consolidates the final market demand for FG&A for IBP submission from the individual market planners incorporating market intelligence (promotions, phase in/phase out, new launches, dis-continuations), and ensures timely forecast submission. Evaluate and challenge the forecast, as needed
Capture and share the forecast insights, assumptions, and performance as part of the IBP cycle
Performs Root Cause Analysis on the Forecast Accuracy and Bias performance, formulates and follows up on corrective and preventive actions
Prepares and leads the demand review meetings with Market Sales, Category and Regional Supply Chain teams, including the Final demand review meeting
Ensures consistent demand planning processes across all corresponding markets for FG&A
Identifies demand planning improvements and rolling out best practices across all NEU markets for FG&A
Is aware of Supply Constraints throughout the cluster, identify options for shifting Demand or allocating Supply for FG&A within markets, with Supply planners or Commercial/Sales teams
Receives and disseminates the outputs of the allocation process to all the corresponding markets for constrained items for FG&A
Discuss supply constraints within the markets to develop the final supply constrained volumes
Analyse and highlight business risks and opportunities to stakeholders and jointly propose appropriate mitigation plans
Continuously improve the way of working, both from a process and a system perspective
Support and coach the demand function throughout the cluster
Train and develop the demand function throughout the region
Covering for absence at market level for demand planning for FG&A
Relish the opportunity to pick up new activities that fall broadly in the purpose of the role
Identify problems and propose various solutions
About you
Proven experience and passion in driving demand planning processes
Strong knowledge on Demand Planning methodologies and preferably some hands-on experience in Statistical Forecasting Methodologies
Ability to translate sales data to understandable trends and market patterns
Working knowledge in any Supply Chain planning systems (Kinaxis RapidResponse / SAP IBP / Anaplan / SAP APO / Demantra) would be an advantage
ERP knowledge (SAP S4 HANA / SAP ECC) would be beneficial
BI Software knowledge (Tableau/ Power BI) is not mandatory but would be a plus
Proficient knowledge of standard software (especially MS applications) would be preferred
Fluent in English, any other language is a plus
Excellent Communication, Analytics, Reporting and Presentation Skills to drive tasks to completion
