About us

The Global IBP team is responsible for organization and implementation of a complex Supply Chain operation, which consists of the creation and management of demand and the related supply plan, inventory management and process control. They plan, implement and control the efficient flow and storage of goods, services, and related information between the point of origin and the point of consumption in order to meet customer's requirements.

About the role

Within Dyson's Global Planning Department, the Supply Planning Manager's responsibilities will be to optimise the longer-term planning (master planning) up to 5 years for one of the product categories of Dyson. The Supply Planning Manager works closely with several departments to ensure the flawless execution of the plan and optimise the production network to ensure the business aspirations are met.

The ideal candidate is an expert in longer-term master planning and has a proven track record of optimising a production network.  

Key accountabilities:

  • Creation of the Rough-Cut Production Plan (RCCP) for the Category

  • Manages the RCCP by continuously optimising different planning parameters

  • Collaboration with Operations on capacity at the Contract Manufactories based on single and multi-sourcing tactical strategies (production network optimisation)

  • Collaborate with Procurement to secure and/or to purchase critical and long lead time components

  • Allocations in capacity constrained situations, aligned with stakeholders within IBP

  • Maintaining the available capacity based on the production calendar

  • Hands over the RCCP to the Master Scheduler and ensures that the MPS is in line with the RCCP

About you

  • Strong Academic record in supply chain management or equivalent.

  • Several years of experience with longer-term Master Planning within an MNC

  • Proven track record in production network optimisation

  • Strong drive to find creative solutions to new challenges

  • Demonstrate flexibility and resilience and respond constructively to new demands and challenges.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
