About the Role: 

  • Support the supply planning function for Dyson US and MX by analyzing stock projections and collaborating with the Dyson planning team in Southeast Asia on production needs for finished goods, ensuring targeted US and MX inventory KPI’s are met. 
  • Support overall supply planning process for US and MX consumer and commercial businesses.
  • Liaise with Southeast Asia planning team to ensure timely and accurate delivery of product into US and MX
  • Work with Demand Planning team to maintain appropriate levels of inventory in domestic warehouses to meet 12-month rolling demand plan and to achieve corporate stock objectives
  • Assist local Marketing and Sales teams with planning for new product launches and exclusive SKUs
  • Communicate with Southeast Asia manufacturing team on a bi-weekly conference call to ensure production plans meet demand plan
  • Assist Supply Planning Manager identify and analyze supply constraints against demand plan
  • Compile and publish reporting to effectively communicate the current state of the business to key stakeholders
  • Analyze international supply chain product flow movements and manage requests made from Group Supply Chain
  • Report monthly inventory projections by SKU to monitor investment in working capital
  • Drive profitability by minimizing product obsolescence
  • Ensure correct inventory locations / timing to meet customer requirements
  • Divert containers, team trucking, warehouse stock transfers
  • Manage allocation process for items with capacity constraints.
  • Identify and communicate potential capacity constraints to necessary parties
  • Update Supply Planning reporting weekly or as needed
  • Prepare internal allocation report for key retailers to help maximize sales and minimize customer impact when inventory is low
  • Lead internal allocation meetings by collaborating with the Sales Order Processing, Channel Management, and Sales teams to analyze updated receipts and shipments vs. plan

About You:

  • Bachelor’s degree required – Supply Chain, Operations Management, or Logistics preferred
  • 3+ years’ experience in a supply chain role required, consumer goods organization experience preferred
  • Proven experience analyzing and resolving inventory related issues
  • Supply planning experience preferred
  • SAP S4 and Kinaxis experience strongly preferred
  • Strong working knowledge of Supply Chain (S&OP/IBP, planning, inventory) processes and systems
  • Advanced knowledge/proficiency in Microsoft Excel required
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Ability to dig into and dissect large amounts of data
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • High level of aptitude for business math, numerical reasoning, and creative problem solving
  • Strong knowledge of the end-to-end product flow inside a warehouse
  • Adaptable/flexible – able to multi-task and manage competing priorities effectively
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Demonstrate follow-through capabilities
  • Sense of urgency and the ability to meet deadlines
  • Self motivated with the ability to work independently
  • Team player
  • Ability to deliver projects in full, on time and to the highest quality
