This role holder is responsible for developing and delivering global sustainability initiatives across Dyson people, owners, communities and the Dyson supply chain. You will be an internal and external vocal advocate towards supporting Dyson on its best in class journey towards environmental and social stewardship and sustainability. Reporting into our Head of Sustainability Social Impact, as part of the global Dyson Sustainability team this role will be based in Singapore.

This role holder is responsible for orchestrating Sustainability programs based out of South East Asia, with multi-disciplinary project teams in different international locations spanning the operations, manufacturing, engineering and commercial functions.

Alongside subject matter experts and teams within the Group, you will lead and coordinate a variety of sustainability initiatives including:

Drive internal engagement:

  • Lead, engage and grow the Global Sustainability Market Champions Network, translating social and environmental strategy and initiatives from Group into tangible actions for our markets around the world

  • Work alongside the Dyson UK Sustainability team and the James Dyson Foundation to develop Sustainability communications, education and internal learning opportunities

Programme management:

  • Independently lead high profile projects from incubation to launch with teams across the Group

  • Collaborate across the Group to align on design, planning and execution of projects  

  • Track and report Sustainability progress

  • Ability to use programme management skills in innovative ways and remain flexible as the role develops. Identify interdependencies between functions and facilitate cooperative working, taking an active, hands-on approach to drive the identification and resolution of problems.

  • Progress reporting through program governance and KPI’s, towards global key stakeholder management.

  • Be an ambassador, vocal advocate, influencer and presence for Sustainability. 

  • Excellent relationship building skills with the ability to build a network of connections both internally and externally.

Ability to work sensitively, discretely, and effectively across Dyson.


  • Demonstrable experience of leading programs and wider-community sustainability, engineering or conservation projects.

  • Great people skills and the ability to motivate and inspire.

  • Someone who is commercially astute and collaborative by nature. An excellent teammate, thriving in a rapidly changing and often ambiguous results-oriented environment. 

  • A strong strategic thinker and creative approach

  • Strong communicator; ability to listen, and convey complex issues concisely and accurately. 

  • Project management capabilities (i.e. leadership, senior stakeholder management and communication, risk management, issue resolution, budget tracking, benefits analysis, estimating and planning etc). 

  • Excellent analytical skills; the ability to assess problems thoroughly and drive logical conclusions 

  • Confident; comfortable interacting with senior executives with well-reasoned analysis and education material. 

  • Assertive; readiness to challenge teams to take remedial action when required. 

  • Credible; ability to demonstrate understanding of engineering/operational processes in order to work with design teams throughout the project development cycle. 

  • Shrewd: The ability to multi-task and plan effectively when working with a variety of project teams in a fast-paced and often high-pressure, competitive environment. 

About you:

  • Educated to degree level (scientific/engineering/education/Sustainability) or can demonstrate equivalent experience. 

  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite. 

  • Experience of managing large/complex projects. 

  • Experience of managing teams, mentoring, developing and coaching other professionals. 

  • Demonstrable continuing professional development
