​About the Team

The Corporate Sustainability and Reporting team (CS&R) is based in the UK and Singapore, reporting into the Chief Legal Officer.

The CS&R team works with the business to develop and deliver the Sustainability agenda and associated change programme, and also advise on the strategic corporate level approach. Alongside the production, assurance and publication of ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) disclosures, this work involves the identification, assessment and management of sustainability risk, data collection for reporting, and the planning, coordination and capture of ESG initiatives happening across the business. We support Sustainability activities across multiple functions and markets, focusing on effective stakeholder engagement and communication.

About the Role

We’re looking for a proactive and hands-on Sustainability Reporting Manager to join our Corporate Sustainability and Reporting team.

As a Sustainability Reporting Manager, you will be pivotal in managing compliance with the rapidly increasing ESG reporting landscape. You’ll be working in a fast-paced environment where collaboration and teamwork are highly valued. This role will work with multiple cross-functional teams and will need to establish strong relationships with key business stakeholders to ensure that we deliver reporting effectively and efficiently. The role is both strategic and hands-on, helping drive the development of the ESG reporting strategy and supporting the delivery of a number of key ESG projects, reports and disclosures.

This position reports to the Senior Sustainability Reporting Manager and is based in Malmesbury, UK.

You will:

  • Contribute to horizon scanning for relevant legislation, reporting standards and trends, feeding into Dyson’s ESG reporting approach.

  • Translate legislative requirements into useful information for key stakeholders across the business, supporting other functions to fulfil their ESG obligations, including via training.

  • Monitor the progress of other functions against their ESG objectives, utilising project management skills to ensure effective and efficient documentation.

  • Support the CS&R team to implement key projects including double materiality assessments, policies, and methodology documents.

  • Support the CS&R team in drafting ESG disclosures, and seeking the relevant feedback and approvals prior to publication (including annual modern slavery and child labour prevention reporting, UK climate reporting, and EU CSRD).

About You

You will have:

  • A degree in a relevant field e.g. Sustainability, Engineering, Sciences, Law or other ESG-related discipline.

  • At least 3 years of experience in relevant roles, e.g. working with ESG legislation or reporting.

  • Experience and awareness of non-financial reporting requirements and ESG standards and reporting frameworks, e.g. GRI, TCFD, preferably in a technology or product company.

  • Familiarity with good practice in data collection and analysis.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and experience engaging with stakeholders of varied seniority, in order to build rapport across functions and markets.

  • The ability to understand and translate complex technical information to meet the needs of various stakeholders.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to support the accurate provision of ESG information to key stakeholders.

  • Project management skills, including a good eye for detail.

  • Additional skills in technology, finance, and systems-level thinking a plus.
