About the role
The Electronics System Integration team have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and experienced Engineer to deliver all parts of Electronics and Software Integration and Verification.
You will have the opportunity to work with a wide range of dynamic teams to support the de-risking and development of new technologies, you will define and implement test strategies for new products.
A key component of this role will be developing automated test solutions which will involve using a wide range of software automation tools (such as Python, NI Software Toolkit) and hardware measurement and control tools (including Arduino, teensy, raspberry pi etc.), whilst working with the rest of the team to ensure test solutions are scalable and platformed across multiple projects and product categories. You will be working closely with the electronics, software, and product category teams, you will need to raise issues and support bug investigation as required by the project.
Responsibilities:
Understand Dyson product and system requirements and what determines good or bad performance.
Take ownership of test development, execution and analysis for the assigned parts of the project(s).
Work with project teams to determine test needs.
Develop software to execute automated test and analyses data
Make manual and automated electronics measurements
Specify test equipment (including sensor selection) and measurement and control tools required for systems testing.
Help manage the flow and presentation of meaningful test results.
Interface with engineers and managers to promote test engineering best practice across Dyson.
About you
An undergraduate degree or equivalent in an Engineering discipline. Electronics, Electrical or Systems preferred.
Experience developing & testing complex systems.
Experience creating test methods and specifying test equipment.
Experience with sensors such as Time-of-flight, air quality sensor, temperature sensor etc. will be a plus.
Experience with National Instruments DAQ, Arduino, Raspberry programming
Python (numpy, matplotlib, pandas etc) competence desired.
LabVIEW/TestStand competence will be an advantage.
Good organizational skills
Ability to handle a broad and complex workload.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
