About the role
The System Verification team tests the integrated electronics and software of the products. The degree of sophistication and complexity varies from product to product, with different technologies and features. This variety of test needs requires creative verification solutions with automation applied where possible. The verification team sits in the Hardware Floorcare group, alongside electronics design and sensor development. The verification team is based across sites in Southeast Asia; the team works collaboratively to test the robot vacuum cleaner product range through the different product development stages; this can include early technology investigations through to production and manufacturing test development and support. We are looking to expand the group to support the growing number of products and new technologies.
Analysing system requirements to specify and implement system verification tests.
Feedback to the product and system design/development teams.
Support / lead root cause investigations & implement corrective actions.
Develop new test methodologies.
Specify and develop test fixtures.
Execute system tests manually and using the developed automated tests.
Analyse test results.
Follow test process and continuously identify opportunities to reduce effort, improving the process efficiency.
Degree or equivalent experience in electronic engineering, software, or comparable engineering discipline.
2+ years of experience in a high technology company with System Test experience
Excellent programming skills, and be proficient in the following languages: Python, Matlab, LabVIEW (preferably Certified LabVIEW Developer level or 2+ year hands-on experience); be able to enforce it in day-to-day tasks.
Hands-on skill in Solidworks/AutoCAD or other mechanical drawing to perform basic 2D/3D drawing
Experience in embedded system programming is a plus
Familiar with Linux development environment.
Experience working with complex electronics hardware or mechanical systems
An understanding of emergent behaviours (kinematics, inverse-kinematics, dynamics, estimation, obstacle avoidance and motion control algorithms) for robotic arms and how to measure them
Experience creating test methods and specifying test equipment.
Good organisational skills, able to handle a broad and complex workload
Proven, structured approach to engineering verification, test procedures and equipment
Great team player and able to communicate technical concepts to other team members
Independent, Integrity and self-driven with a strong focus on results
Fluent in spoken and written English
