About us
Dyson has a strong and influential Quality, Safety and Sustainability business function. Within Quality, the New Product Quality department collaborates with Design, Development, Operations, Procurement and Commercial to drive forward advances in both product reliability and product satisfaction on all projects across all categories before launch.
Within the New Product Satisfaction team, we put the user and product at the centre of what we do working collaboratively with Research and NPI teams at the early concept stage of development of Dyson’s future disruptive innovations. We gather and analyze consumer and product insight to support the development of product attributes and targets before validating these through trialing ahead of product launches. We then monitor and assess the satisfaction performance of products, providing a closed loop process feeding back into future projects.
About the role
This role is all about understanding user perceptions to support Dyson’s goal of developing game changing products and experiences that excite and delight our users. Collaborating with upstream teams you will design, plan and manage global product trials for Dysons latest disruptive innovations to really understand users’ perceptions of Dysons new products during development, pre-launch. You will support the replication and analysis of issues raised by trialists, prioritizing, and driving teams across the business to fix issues. You will support the analysis of sentiment and insight captured through these trials and the generation of actionable outcomes to drive product and experience improvements.
Design and management of large scale, global product trials cutting edge technology products.
Prioritize and manage issues that need to be resolved.
Communicate insights in a meaningful and impactful manner to all relevant stakeholders.
Building relationships between Dyson and its partners.
Day to day management of a global community of trialists.
Contribution to the future development and growth of the Dyson community of trialists.
Communicate between all relevant teams internal and external to Dyson to ensure effective & timely input.
About you
Qualifications:
Degree qualification. Relevant industry experience or equivalent industrial experience.
A minimum of 5 years’ experience managing technical programmes or product/user trials.
Skills & Experience:
Experience setting up and running multi-market projects.
Experience working at a consumer technology company.
Ability to interpret information and convert key findings into meaningful business recommendations.
Excellent organisation and project management skills.
Patient with a mentality that thrives in fluid, dynamic and often unstructured environments.
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to influence discussions and outcomes at all levels of the business.
