About the role
As assistant category manager, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the success and growth of Dyson in Korea, maximizing brand presence and marketing expertise of Dyson. This role reports to the Sr. category manager.
The Floor care Category Assistant Manager will be managing key products and ensure all to deliver flawless execution of activities and rigorous appraisal of effectiveness. Create marketing strategy in delivery of profit generating opportunities.
MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES (and supporting activities):
Develop marketing campaign plans accordingly to meet our vision and objectives in short term and long term.
- Work with Sr. Category Manger, and rest of the marketing team to define existing and new consumer target(s) and segments and develop propositions and programs to drive business within them.
- Be a leader of new product launch; develop marketing plans to get into market successfully building concrete plan out of consumer studies and setting out strong product proposition. Lead a critical path meeting to ensure timely launch working with cross-functions. Work with group commercial (global BU) for on-time product & asset delivery.
- Collaborate with internal and external partners to execute go-to-market strategies, ongoing support and plans including creative, media planning, channel strategies, public relations, retail execution, promotions etc.
- Coordinate all stakeholders to execute category marketing plan. Retail marketing, agency, sales (both direct and indirect channels), training, operations etc. Ensure all are on the same page on category business context, target and strategy, and execution plan. Encourage and support stakeholders in executions and take responsibility on outputs.
Be the in-market product owner; responsible for end-to end product management
- Develop and execute category plan for key products and communicate category agenda to the wider business.
- Support Senior Manager in ensuring timely delivery for the business in the area of portfolio management, price points, and consumer target.
- Continuously seek to unlock commercial potential to meet category annual ambition and volume target; developing the ideas and tactics with collaboration of trade marketing and sales teams to reach the best possible commercial outcomes.
- Contribute to translate the Group commercial product/category strategy into local strategy; clarifying the approach to maximize own market’s opportunity within the context of global plans. Fulfil other duties as required.
- Work closely with internal/external stakeholders such as local creative hub, media team, trade marketing and sales team to deliver flawless execution.
About You
- 7-10 years of experience in Marketing.
- Project management experience of bringing strategy to life is a must. A multi-functional project leader experience preferred.
- Have a proven strong communication skill that can collaborate with cross-function.
- Problem solving; be able to critically and actively analyze situations, spot issues, and present viable solutions.
- Ability to independently develop a media strategy (TVC, Digital, and etc.) and specific media plan for a campaign.
- Fluency in English is mandatory.
