About The Role
As an Associate Principal Solution Architect, you will be responsible for designing and delivering scalable, enterprise-class solutions that meet Dyson’s business needs while adhering to architectural standards.
Reporting to a Principal Solution Architect, you will play a hands-on role in translating functional requirements into technical designs and ensuring seamless integration across Dyson’s IT landscape, including CMS, ERP, and e-commerce platforms. Through close collaboration with technical and business teams, you will drive the successful delivery of innovative, secure, and compliant systems that enhance Dyson’s customer engagement and operational capabilities.
Key responsibilities:
- Solution delivery: Create detailed architecture designs, including integration views, technical specifications, and capability maps, ensuring alignment with enterprise roadmaps and standards.
- Collaboration and alignment: Partner with a Principal Solution Architect to ensure solutions meet business needs while aligning with Dyson’s enterprise strategy. Work closely with stakeholders to refine technical requirements and ensure designs address functional goals.
- Technical governance: Oversee the implementation of solutions to ensure compliance with Dyson’s technical standards, security policies, and regulatory requirements. Conduct design reviews and identify potential risks early in the project lifecycle.
- Optimisation and innovation: Recommend improvements to existing systems, identify opportunities for enhanced performance and scalability, and evaluate emerging technologies to drive future readiness.
About You
You are a technically skilled problem-solver with experience designing and delivering enterprise-grade solutions. You thrive in fast-paced environments and can balance hands-on delivery with ensuring compliance with architectural principles and organisational goals.
- Skills and experience:
- Hands-on experience designing and delivering solutions for customer engagement platforms, such as Salesforce, with solid expertise in system integration across CMS, ERP, and e-commerce platforms.
- An understanding of enterprise architecture methodologies, such as TOGAF, and secure system design best practices.
- Ability to balance technical detail while aligning with enterprise strategy, working collaboratively under the direction of a Principal Solution Architect.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and work across both technical and business teams.
- Core and behavioural competencies:
- Advanced knowledge of IT general principles, technical IT skills, and compliance.
- Strong logical analysis and teamwork capabilities, with experience delivering projects in a collaborative environment.
- A focus on continuous improvement, with a proactive mindset for identifying innovative solutions and efficiencies.
