About the Role

We are looking for a passionate and results-driven Associate Supply Chain Excellence Manager to lead the transformation of our supply chain processes and network in Japan. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in driving strategic initiatives to achieve resilient and reliable supply chain operations, while optimising logistics costs. You will work collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders to identify opportunities for improvement, implement innovative solutions, and foster long-term partnerships that support operational efficiency.

Main Accountabilities

  • Project Leadership: Lead cross-functional transformation projects to adapt to changing market conditions and ensure scalability of supply chain operations.
  • Process Improvement: Analyse current processes, identify inefficiencies, and drive end-to-end process improvement initiatives.
  • Strategic Planning: Design and execute strategies to enhance supply chain resilience and reliability across key functions.
  • Collaboration: Work with internal teams (Sales, eCommerce, Customer Service, Offshore operations team, etc.) and external stakeholders (3PL, Freight forwarders, Carriers, etc.) to implement best practices and systems for operational excellence.
  • KPI Management: Closely monitor supply chain performance metrics, drive cost optimisation initiatives and deliver measurable improvements in logistics such as OTIF, damage in transit, logistics unit costs.
  • Industry Awareness: Stay up to date with industry trends, technologies, and regulations to proactively manage risks and maintain compliance.
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of order management, customer queries and logistics arrangements with the operations team in the Supply Chain department.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will need a strong background in supply chain management, along with excellent analytical and leadership skills. We are looking for someone who is strategic yet detail-oriented and capable of influencing stakeholders to drive impactful change.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Work Experience: 5+ years of experience in supply chain management, logistics, procurement, or a related field. Experience leading supply chain transformation projects is highly desirable.
  • Mastery of ERP software, especially SAP S/4 HANA, is considered a big plus.
  • Proven ability to analyse complex supply chain processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across departments and external partnerships.
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities and an innovative mindset to develop practical solutions.
  • Deep understanding of supply chain structures, logistics optimization, and cost management.
  • Proficiency in using supply chain technologies and analytics tools.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business, logistics, or a related field. A graduate degree (MBA or equivalent) or relevant certifications (e.g., Six Sigma) will be considered a plus.
  • Personal Attributes: Driven, adaptable, detail-oriented, strategic thinker, and skilled in navigating complex environments.
