PURPOSE OF ROLE:
As the BDM you will lead on a high-profile account ensuring there is outstanding execution and sales growth. Commercially focused, you will use your negotiation and influencing skills to develop a strategic annual B2B business plan that sets out the key objectives for DYSON and the customers with ongoing planning of up to three years.
As our product portfolio expands, You will set the strategic vision and outline clear objectives that will deliver high value growth and strong return on investment for DYSON Sales.
The BDM, B2B is a key position within the team and is responsible for growing our brand and sales in the market and Corporate Sales/Gifting Channels by collaborating and building strategic plans with our partners.
MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Deliver a vision and strategy to drive transformational growth on your corporate customers
- Anticipate on changes in the sales market, cunsumer behaviour or competitors and develop a 360-degree business plan to ensure future profitable growth
- Collaborate closely with other functions such as commercial, finance, operations and marketing functions to align your B2B business plan with other departments
- Deliver sales and profitability targets
- Deliver sales and gross margin targets in line with budget
- Agree, update, communicate and administer all areas of the promotional planning by project
- Deliver an accurate twelve-month rolling forecast that accounts for sales trends, promotions, seasonality, distribution changes, NPD and product exits
- Manage a promotional budget in line with forecasts
- Understand customers’ profitability through the regular use of a retained margin tracker
- Align the organization to your customer and negotiation objectives, with an agreed timeline of deliverables
PERSON SPECIFICATION
- Commercial – 8-10 years of hands-on sales experience managing and developing key accounts/corporate customers.
- Proven delivery of sales results (managing existing customers & developing new business) – independent sales responsibility for either a consumer brand/ distributor leading sales team in a territory for a mid-sized company.
- High level experience of key account/customer negotiations or distributor management.
- Consumer Goods background or technology sales background.
- Demonstrated ability of critical thinking and problem solving.
- Strong communication, influencing, and negotiating skills
- Excellent personal and business presentation skills.
- Decisive and excellent influencer.
- Self starter who sees things to completion.
