Our APAC Finance team supports commercial performance across the Markets in the region.

About the Role

The Business Intelligence Manager will be instrumental to the APAC finance organization to deliver reporting and analysis of commercial performance across the region, both financial and non-financial, liaising directly with group, markets and providing support to the APAC leadership Team.

The role is key in understanding and assessing the markets and business reporting needs to drive faster amplification / reapplication of available reporting capabilities to enable data-based & fast decision making.

Focus areas include:

• Data: Enterprise-wide curated data available for cross functional analytics  
• Visualization: Self serve, interactive, dynamic content
• Data Culture: Embed data in everything we do

Key Responsibilities include:

• Design and document efficient data solutions, drive reports automation and synchronization, and build strong data visualisations to align APAC reporting strategy to facilitate quick decision making
• Work with Dyson’s data services function and analytics teams across the business to deliver new or enhanced data sources
• Champion the use of data and analytics, driving adoption and growth in the user base
• Fill in capabilities gap creating new reports fit for use in market and regionally
• Business partner with key stakeholders to continuously improve the analytics portfolio to drive decision making
• Build strong relationships with business partners and within finance organization
• Support master data consistency and alignment, ensuring maintenance of functional and technical documentation

About You

Naturally inquisitive and ideally with a strong financial acumen, you will enjoy working with data to uncover insights and patterns through the solutions you develop to bring into the APAC region. You will be comfortable working with ambiguity and bring perseverance and motivation to deliver your work.

Key Requirements:

• Authentic, well-rounded data professional with an eye for continuous improvement, ideally with experience across multiple functional areas and industries
• A self-starter, able to drive their own initiatives whilst taking a hands-on approach to removing any blockers
• A strong communicator with experience translating technical jargon
• Comfortable in a multi-disciplined team where roles and responsibilities evolve in pursuit of getting the job done
• Strong requirements gathering skills and managing delivery of work using tools like JIRA.
• Successful at delivering within a team running Agile and/or another modern project management approach
• A hands-on expert with modern analytical tools (i.e.Tableau, Power BI, SAP Analytics Cloud)
• Comfortable working with a range of data platforms including Google BigQuery, SAP BW, SAP HANA, and skilled in writing performant SQL
• Comfortable sourcing, integrating and cleansing data using tools like Tableau Prep, Power Automate
• Good commercial awareness. Ideally knowledge of Financial data

Desirable experience:

• Demonstrated success of project delivery / business change within Business Intelligence
• Continuous improvement initiatives and change-management
• Knowledge and experience of all stages of the project and program life-cycle, including development of business cases, mobilization of projects and benefits realization
