About the role
Drive operations programs that include predictable import/export and local transfers clearance, scrap declaration and monitoring, broker coordination, permits and licenses coordination, record keeping and reporting and other licensed manufacturing warehouse operational requirements.
Lead the planning, execution, and monitoring of all country-level operations, aligning with global objectives and local market requirements.
Lead the tactical execution of day-to-day activities to deliver products and services from/to GDC whilst optimizing the response to operational realities, including ERP/SAP system updates that support the inter-company flow aligned with the movement of goods, equipment, operational collection/delivery coordination and generation of documents required for export.
Support and optimize all operational aspects of 3PL logistics services within MY Country Operations, ensuring high standards in warehousing, transportation, and management.
Responsible for delivery and on-time performance for each order request.
Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for service / operational failures.
Act as the primary operational contact by building and maintaining strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external entities.
Prepare and present regular operations performance reports to regional/global leadership. Example, custom monthly reporting.
Identify areas for operational improvement, implement best practices, and lead key projects for process improvement and efficiency gains.
Oversee financial planning for country operations and implement cost-saving initiatives.
To be an ambassador for Dyson to facing/visit custom or other government agencies.
Undertake any other duties or responsibilities as may be reasonably assigned by your manager or supervisor.
Deliverables of the Role
Ensure adherence to local legal and regulatory requirements, company policies, and health & safety standards.
Ensure all 3PL, internal GDC comply with Dyson governance standards that meet visibility, service, and cost requirements.
Escalate any incorrect data points, or missing information by identifying the root cause, and works cross-functionally to ensure improvement measures are captured and put in action to resolve manual intervention.
Ensure efficient and effective collaboration between Dyson cross functional teams, contract manufacturing and external warehouse.
Monitor global standard KPIs that measure and track suppliers performance, working in close collaboration with Dyson logistics and Dyson custom performance management to drive continuous improvement.
Ensure appropriate approvals for scrap declaration and reporting to customs authorities are done for tools, equipment, machines, prototypes, materials.
Ensure permits are secured prior to imports, coordinate with engineers and related other government agencies.
Example e.g. SIRIM - safety, SJT - electric household consumption, Maqis - agriculture control & MITI.
Ensure good document reporting and filing archiving and retrieval process are maintain archived following the document retention process.
