About the Role

This position will act as a proactive business partner to the Global Demand & Sales Planning Director, Finance Director, and Global Commercial Finance Director, leveraging deep insights into BBI (Brand Building Investment) governance, pricing governance, and COA (Cost of Acquisition). The role will drive strategic financial leadership, ensuring profitable growth, meticulous governance, and transparent reporting across these critical areas of focus.

Key Responsibilities & Expectations

BBI Governance

  • Support implementation of BBI (Brand Building Investment) governance frameworks.
  • Ensure compliance with BBI policies and provide regular training and updates on governance standards.
  • Perform detailed variance analysis and provide recommendations for optimizing BBI spending.
  • Lead strategic initiatives to improve BBI utilization and ROI across all regions and markets.
  • Apply a zero-based budgeting (ZBB) approach to BBI management, driving cost-efficiency and value creation.
  • Oversee central BBI management to ensure consistency and optimal allocation of resources across business units and units

Pricing Governance

  • Co-lead the Strategic Revenue Management agenda with the Commercial Finance Director, focusing on pricing strategies, trade terms, and promotional optimization.
  • Oversee pricing governance processes and specifically SSPs set up to ensure compliance and effectiveness.
  • Conduct thorough analyses of pricing strategies and develop recommendations to enhance profitability.
  • Collaborate closely with the Bus to align pricing & promo strategies with business objectives.

COA Equitation

  • Ensure accurate and consistent financial reporting by overseeing COA governance.
  • Work with finance and accounting teams to streamline COA processes and improve data integrity.
  • Provide recommendations for COA improvement.

Financial Leadership

  • Drive profitable growth by providing strategic financial insights to business leaders.
  • Coordinate the budget and forecast process with a focus on profitability.

Reporting and Analyses

  • Perform ad-hoc reporting and analyses based on business needs, providing accurate and timely financial recommendations.
  • Ensure clear and transparent reporting on investments and performance.
  • Amplify Vistex product capabilities in partnership with DBS & IT, enhancing promo and trade accrual processes.

Knowledge & Experience

  • Experience in Financial Analysis and Reporting, ideally in Sales or Brand Finance co-piloting roles.
  • Experience in Financial Forecasting and deviation analyses including business interpretation.
  • Very good understanding of P&L and Balance Sheet under local GAAP and IFRS.
  • Solid understanding of the month-close process and how it impacts the P&L and B/S.
  • Experienced in working in a multi-functional environment.
  • Bachelor's or master’s degree in finance & accounting.
  • Strong Excel skills, experience with SAP, Hyperion, or Onestream system (or any other reporting/forecasting platform).

Critical Skills

  • Excellent financial leadership skills.
  • Strong commercial acumen.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of hierarchy with multifunctional partners and external stakeholders (English skills mandatory).
  • High level of mental agility – being able to ‘connect the dots’.

Professional Experience

  • Strong career progress to date in Accounting, Business, or Finance in a multinational organization, ideally with an FMCG grounding.
  • Previous responsibility of P&L delivery and sales with a strong grasp of the retail landscape (including trade terms and promotions).
  • An effective and credible thought partner - commercially minded with a good grasp of key financial drivers and strong contract management skills.
  • Professional accounting qualification is a plus, but not mandatory.
  • Ability to navigate financial and non-financial data gathering and analytics.
