As the Head of Ecom Accounts you will play an central role in setting and delivering the strategy for growth in the region via ensuring we have winning plans everyday.

About the role.

At Dyson our consumer markets are central to everything we do. Your role will make sure that our consumers are getting a fantastic experience across our nominated market places.

You’ll work with teams to ensure our commercial plans are performing and that we have all the right levers in place to achieve stretching targets. This will include close collaboration with supply chain, finance, marketing, merchandising and leading your own immediate team of 4 FTE. Ultimately this role is about driving a new way forward, reaching new consumers and unlocking growth through creative commercial problem solving. 

About you.

Dyson is a fast paced and agile company. The below is an example of your main accountabilities but is not a complete list - what matters to us, is relevant experience alongside innovative thinking and a drive to deliver across e-commerce markets.

Accountabilities:

  • Full P&L ownership for our centrally managed Ecom Accounts, a significant business the same size as a medium sized country in the region
  • Develop and deliver strategies and plans to hit our monthly, quarterly and annual commercial targets though our EMEA marketplaces
  • Work closely with local heads of sales on development of strategy into trade plans
  • Oversee the development of and implementation of plans to win with key regional E-Comm account partners
  • Annual negotiations: You’ll lead the annual negotiation cycle with key partners, looking for value adding opportunities, carefully leading local, regional and global stakeholders as you do.
  • Business planning and forecasting: Oversee development of high quality forecasts ensuring we maximise availability on market places
  • External networking and partner: Build collaborative, value adding and strategic partnerships with our external Accounts & partners, seek to understand their business in depth to unlock new value adding opportunity. 
  • Owner Experience: Ensure owners are getting a fantastic experience every day
  • Budget: Ensure budgets are invested optimally, always looking at incrementality and ROAS
  • Be the passionate channel owner voice of your channel and accounts internally, lead the development of and ensure the business is delivering to opportunities for your account while always ensuring the best possible result for Dyson
  • Work with Global teams to ensure the needs of your Accounts are being met, where relevant closely partner with global account and channel teams to unlock value and solve problems together, share and look for best practice. 
  • Lead and develop your team, setting clear objectives, removing obstacles, nurturing talent and managing performance as needed.
  • Play a leading role in Regional Ecommerce leadership team, flow to work as needed to deliver short and long term business targets

Skills and Required Experience:

  • Minimum of 8-10+ years hands on experience in managing Ecommerce retailers and pure players, either working in a commercial role in retailers or in a sales role with retailers
  • Must have experience leading regional negotiations across multiple markets and stakeholders
  • Must have hands on experience with core account management and planning competencies- forecasting, promo planning, budget management and merchandising
  • Must have experience managing and leading teams in a matrixed structure. 
  • Must have high level of commercia acumen and demonstrated a strong analytical ability and curiosity
  • Energised by commercial challenges and driving performance.
  • A positive attitude and bias for action, looks for solutions and creative ways of achieving goals despite set-backs
  • Previous experience working with global and regional structure in a brand with detailed creative guidelines is beneficial. 
  • Strong communicator: Able to clearly communicate technical issues in a simple laymen’s terminology
  • Keen eye for detail particularly within a digital setting
  • Low ego, happy to flow to work in times of need seemlessy moving from highly strategic concepts to operational projects
  • Fluent in English, an additional EMEA language is beneficial
