About The Role

Reporting to the Head of Logistics, you will lead the team responsible for synchronizing all inventory related transactions between 3PL Warehouse Management System (WMS) and Dyson S4Hana, perform a full reconciliation of the systems and based on the findings propose risk mitigating actions and process & system improvements. 

 

You will:

Lead and coach the Inventory control team (in-house & outsourced hybrid model) that is responsible for: 

  • Process all EDI interfaces and resolve related issues with a continuous improvement mindset 
  • Monitor the system to ensure all process records are up to date and no backlog is carried on (inbound related system issues, returns management, PO clearing, etc) 
  • Reconcile 3PL WMS stock  levels against Dyson S4H; identify, solve, rootcause and action reconciliation issues; execute all necessary adjustments (with appropriate approvals), both on plant code and storage location level 
  • Work on clearing both new and historical record discrepancies 
  • Ensure physical inventory (wall to wall & cycle) counts are carried out for 3PLs (Dyson SC managed sites), with review and adjustment if required 
  • Review regularly the non-performing (Inventory 2) stock positions and propose actions to decrease stock 
  • Manage scrapping and write off processes with appropriate frequency and following company policies 
  • Manage stock adjustments for theft, loss & insurance cases 
  • Provide regular reconciliation results to Finance, including evidence submission in Compliance Control systems. 
  • Identify relevant best practices across the markets, implement learnings from other regions 
  • Identify problems and find solutions 
  • Develop and enhance departmental reporting, trend analysis, and dashboards 

Identify opportunities to automate or streamline processes and see through the implementation 

Work closely with Logistics Operations and Supply Chain planning, Finance, Profit Protection & Internal Controls to improve processes that positively influence Inventory Control 

Lead the monthly Inventory Control review with Finance, provide detailed business reports to manage P&L efficiently via optimizing stock provisions and improving cash flow 

Represent Supply Chain in Internal & external audits from Inventory control perspective

About You

We're looking for someone that has: 

  • Proven experience and passion in inventory control, statistical analysis and discrepancy investigation methods 

  • Supply Chain & Logistics Operations experience is a plus 

  • Basic Finance/Accounting knowledge is a plus 

  • People management & development 

  • Senior stakeholder management 

  • Strong presentation & communication skills 

  • Good SAP knowledge 

  • Good Excel & PowerBI skills 

  • Strong organisation skills 

  • Analytical approach 

  • Attention to detail 

  • Continuous improvement mindset (project & change management is a plus) 

  • Business and results oriented 

  • Ability to deliver under pressure and to tight deadlines 

  • Comfortable to work in less developed environments 

  • A critical thinker who can both identify, drive and implement change
