About the Role:
In this role based in Singapore, you will report to the Global Product Cost Finance Senior Manager and support the Dyson Global Supply Chain team with financial analysis and insight that supports the delivery of the Supply Chain Operations’ strategic objectives; we play a key part in Dyson overall success.
The role assumes active engagement in senior management decision-making processes including attendance at senior management meetings and insights-based advisory during key decision-making moments; by providing data-based insights, summarising financial models and presenting potential scenarios.
The focus is to drive savings initiatives and bring out the story behind the numbers and providing insights that inform decision-making around costs and supply to ensure we optimize the use of our financial resources and continue to improve profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as a key finance business partner to the Supply Chain team, providing financial guidance and support for operational and strategic initiatives.
Lead the budgeting, reporting, and analysis of (Outsourced) Procurement Cost Savings KPIs; proactively track performance against cost down targets and drive corrective actions for delivery.
Identify, analyze, and deliver cost-saving opportunities across value-added manufacturing processes and Contract Manufacturer (CM) operations, working closely with cross-functional partners to quantify potential impact and drive implementation.
Oversee budgeting, ongoing management, and periodic reporting of key supply chain cost categories, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and robust financial control.
Conduct regular financial risk assessments of Contract Manufacturers, identifying risks/issues and communicating findings and recommendations to relevant stakeholders.
Partner with Procurement and Outsource Procurement teams to ensure data quality, accuracy, and completeness across all commodity costs within the internal PDC system.
Collaborate with the Product Cost team to build and refine data and reporting capabilities—including leveraging SQL and PowerBI—to enable rapid, value-added analytics that drive cost and operational performance.
Continuously review key supply chain finance processes, identifying areas for improvement and leading initiatives to streamline workflows, increase control, or enhance value.
Prepare and present clear financial insights, variances, risks, and recommendations to Supply Chain and Finance leadership.
Uphold best practices in financial controllership, budgeting, forecasting, and month-end reporting.
Qualifications and Skills:
Qualified accountant (e.g., ACCA, CA, CPA) with 4–5 years’ experience in finance roles, ideally within supply chain or manufacturing environments, with a strong focus on controllership.
Extensive hands-on experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
Advanced Excel skills and strong capability working with large, complex data sets. Experience with SAP (or similar ERP) and PowerBI (or equivalent reporting tools).
Good to have SQL knowledge for querying large datasets to support rapid and deep analysis.
Track record as a proactive business partner—confident in influencing and challenging non-finance stakeholders to drive operational performance and process improvements.
Strong attention to detail, with a rigorous, systematic approach to financial controls and reporting.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present analysis and recommendations to both finance and business leaders.
Analytical mindset: able to translate data into meaningful insights and drive actions that improve results.
Agile and adaptable, enjoys collaborating across functions and improving existing ways of working.
