The role is part of the Group Finance Systems team, which spans over UK and Singapore, and is responsible for delivering the systems environment needed to support the work of Global Finance and, through this, the wider Dyson organization.
About the role
The role holder will have a primary focus of supporting OneStream operations and system capability development to make sure that Month End and Planning processes are carried out smoothly and efficiently. On top of this, the role holder will also be actively involved in other areas highlighted in the Key Responsibility sections below.
The role will positively impact multiple teams across Global Finance and Dyson by ensuring finance owned systems within their responsibility area deliver required capabilities and enable all Dyson colleagues to work efficiently. Through this you will gain deep insight into the evolving finance and information technology landscape and contribute to how this enables our long-term business ambitions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support month end and planning activities to ensure that the system is in ready state to support Finance consolidation and reporting.
- Support the implementation and configuration of the OneStream platform to meet Dyson's financial reporting and analysis requirements.
- Provide guidance and support to finance users and stakeholders on OneStream functionality, performance, and utilization.
- Collaborate with IT teams and other functional teams to ensure the integration of OneStream with existing systems and data sources.
- Lead the development and maintenance of system solutions, financial models, reports, and new capabilities within OneStream to support decision-making and analysis.
- Drive for continuous improvement and automation in how we and our stakeholders perform key processes.
- Participate in monitoring system performance, identifying opportunities for improvement, and implementing enhancements to optimize efficiency and accuracy.
- Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in financial systems and technologies. Drive for continuous improvement in the system setup and ways of working.
About you
The role would benefit from but does not require applicants to hold a chartered accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA). There is scope to structure the role to cover experience requirements for applicants working towards these qualifications.
The following competencies are particularly relevant:
- Business Partnering: you will need to be able to understand and translate finance/business requirements into a system product requirement and vice versa.
- Process Excellence: you should have a continuous improvement mindset and demonstrate experience with influencing process improvement and excellence.
- Technical Skills: you should demonstrate skills around VB.Net/C#/SQL coding or data analysis to drive for technical solution delivery and data driven decision-making.
- Systems Administration: you should be interested in or demonstrate experience owning and administrating aspects of a platform, such as managing setup, governing access, etc.
- Change Management: you should be familiar with change management framework or have experience with key change management processes.
- Master Data Management: you should demonstrate awareness of the role of master data to finance or other functions in a complex organisation
- Attention to Detail: you must be attention to details and have the ability to complete large volume of repetitive tasks to a high standard consistently.
- Financial Accounting and Reporting: the finance organisation is a key user of the systems within scope of the role. You should have foundational awareness of finance requirements and demonstrate willingness to develop this further.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or related field.
- Prior experience with financial systems such as OneStream, Hyperion or EPM Could is a plus.
- Strong interest in financial systems and utilizing technology to drive performance and impacts.
- Prior experience with C#, VB.Net or SQL.
- Knowledge of system administration and setup is a plus.
- Experience with OneStream, S4 HANA or any financial system is a plus.
- Experience with API and automation is a plus
- Excellent data analysis and problem-solving skills.
- Basic understanding of financial processes and principles.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
