Our Regional IT Team
The EMEA Regional IT team
- Business Partners with the Region to Deliver IT solution and services to our EMEA Markets
- Leverage Group capabilities and orchestrates various lines of services to achieve business outcomes
- Ensures Service operations and SLAs are met
- Manages the IT demand cycle
- Ensure regional governance of IT services and delivery.
About the role
Reporting to the EMEA IT Lead, the role is responsible to support markets projects, opening, relocation and closure as well as to support the daily operations and incidents around IT Services. It is general management of IT support and Services in the markets thru Retail, ecom, supporting functions technology.
- Supporting the delivery of a range of Information Technology activities and services to support Dyson’s technology requirements with big focus on IT Retail stores openings, maintenance and support
- Working proactively on specific assignments, BAU tasks and handling escalations from users and provide support.
- Working on documentation, SOP, project documentation, updates to peers.
- Liaising with regional and global teams and service providers for effective IT operations management and site support.
- Working with partners and security teams to ensure services are secure and compliant
- Managing on-site technical change which impacts technical services ensuring minimal risk
- Manage 3rd Party relationships with key partners
- Perform and document business analysis
- Oversee and provide exceptional support to Dyson frontline teams, stores, and contact center teams ensuring no disruptions to their services and operations
- Consistently leveraging IT to add value to the business and make working more efficient and effective
- Partnering with End User Services and Infrastructure teams to develop a talented team of IT service desk and IT infrastructure engineers, who with others define, manage and support the entire IT operations for Dyson
- Supporting the rapid build-out of retail stores and help plan efficient deployment of IT structure and support, including network infrastructure, ePOS, and other activities as required
About You
Degree or Diploma in IT / Computer Science desirable. You must possess very strong interpersonal communication skills being able to interact with key business stakeholders up to Exec level. You will also possess strong IT third party management skills for different sizes and complexities. You must demonstrate strong leadership qualities and be-able to manage teams across the globe in a matrix managed environment.
- Basic understanding of the Networking technologies and Servers
- A minimum of 3+ years of relevant experience
- Customer Focus - Develop and maintain customer relations with internal stakeholders. Actively seek information to understand customers’ circumstances, problems, expectations, and needs
- Third line fault repair and vendor escalations
- Dedicated to providing IT solutions and managing relationships with key business areas and as 3rd parties.
- Proficient problem solver who can manage ambiguity and deliver appropriate solutions
- Confident communicator, via email, telephone and face to face. Ability to communicate complex I.T. information to a non-technical audience with clarity
- Ability to prioritize workload and perform in a fast-paced and challenging environment.
- Able to engage the business at all levels to solve problems and implement improvements
- Ability to deliver under pressure
- Comfortable working outside of core working hours when necessary to meet demand
Essential:
- Previous experience as similar role in a similar sized global organization
- Retail IT experience/ proficiency
- A professional who can provide examples of transforming service delivery within a global company
- A natural problem solver
- Ability to set strategic direction for Retail IT
- Experience with Vendor and Contract Management
- Can do attitude
- Knowledge of Retail IT specific solutions ecosystem
