Purpose of role
You will be a part of the Global Compliance and Approvals Team. We remove the barriers to accessing markets to make sure that Dyson products are met the regulations and standards.
We are responsible for ensuring that all Dyson products comply with all relevant regulations, standards and legislation in over 90 countries. We use internationally recognised standards to demonstrate compliance as well as country or region specific standards.
In general, this role will:
Become the single point of contact for Compliance and Approvals team against cross team and external certification body and Contract Manufacturer
Communicate effectively with all business functions, ensuring non-technical functions correctly understand the impact of compliance and approvals requirements, project timelines, risk and issues
Managing the deliverables resolution collaboratively with the cross-sub team within Compliance and Approvals
Works autonomously with minimal support or guidance
Accountabilities
Project Management and Coordination:
Act as the lead point of contact between Dyson C&A and Partners for all compliance-related matters, ensuring accurate communication and timely delivery of approvals.
Lead and coordinate C&A Programme delivery process in collaboration with Internal team under different partnership strategy
Ensure smooth planning and execution of all compliance deliverables are met and aligned with global product launch timelines across all regions.
Oversee C&A delivery of all internal and external projects and work closely with teams to ensure aligned execution, resource allocation and timely milestone delivery.
Drive cross-functional teams adhering to compliance protocols and established processes.
Manage cross team communication to ensure key stakeholders are well informed, understood and aligned to compliance deliverables and dependencies.
Maintain a centralized reporting dashboard to monitor certification timelines, risk management and renewal status.
Technical Expertise:
Own the global GMA process, ensuring all products meet the required certifications and approvals for market entry.
Collaborate with global teams, certification bodies/testing agencies and regulatory authorities to track certification requirements, cost and lead times.
Review product requirement/ specifications, testing protocols, and certification plans provided by Dyson Partners for accuracy and completeness.
Skills
Educational Background:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a relevant technical field.
PMP certification is an advantage to this role, but not compulsory.
Experience:
Minimum of 5+ years of experience in compliance and regulatory approvals, or project management within a manufacturing, consumer electronics
Familiarity with GMA global regulatory certification processes with proven track record for international markets (e.g., UL, CE, FCC, IEC, RoHS, REACH).
Experience working closely with manufacturers in different partnership model, and third-party testing/certification agencies is highly desirable.
Technical Knowledge:
Proficient technical knowledge of international compliance standards.
Proficient understanding of product testing methodologies and certification workflows.
Core Skills:
Excellent project management skills, including timeline management, risk assessment, and stakeholder communication.
Strong technical problem-solving ability to address compliance challenges and delays.
Proficient in reading and understanding technical standards, regulatory frameworks, and certification processes.
Experience working in cross-cultural and cross-functional settings, particularly with international teams and suppliers.
Language Skills:
Fluent in Mandarin (spoken and written) for effective communication with China partners.
Proficiency in English (spoken and written) to communicate with Dyson’s global teams and certification authorities.
Key Attributes:
Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects.
Strong interpersonal skills to build effective working relationships with stakeholders across Dyson and Partners.
Capable of working independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while maintaining high levels of responsibility and accountability.
