About the role
The National Field Sales Beauty Retail Manager is responsible for overseeing sales activities within a defined business unit, partnering with a 3rd party labor provider who supplies a team of sales representatives, and driving revenue growth. Expand market share and maintain a competitive position within the industry.
This is a full-time position with a schedule that is primarily Monday-Friday with some weekends and holidays and/or as business dictates. (3PL demonstrator team is primarily executing in retail on weekends.)
Motivate, manage and influence a 3rd party remote beauty workforce to deliver results.
Identify, plan and manage execution of growth strategies to drive beauty category sales and engagement levels in market.
Builds rapport with beauty retail partners
Define and execute key initiatives to drive beauty sales, build brand awareness in markets, and ensure the successful execution of the business strategy to retailers and in direct channels.
Manage a relationship with 3rd party Area Managers and sales associates to provide impactful demonstrations, events, and retailer support to elevate the brand presentation, increase brand awareness and drive sell through.
Provide superior service to our customers and business partners to achieve results at Area and National levels in order to maximize Dyson sell through and Gross Margin results.
Partner with Dyson National Account Managers to align on strategy and tactics to increase sell through.
Plans and executes in-store training to ensure retail sales associates and store partners clearly understand the benefits of Dyson products and how to find the right Dyson solutions for their customers’ needs.
Manage Third Party vendor relationships to ensure delivery of SLA terms.
Analyze performance and defining actions to achieve expected results.
Gather and communicate a high level of market intelligence while providing feedback and recommendations for business development as it relates to sales trends, product functionality and competitive products and activities
Establishes and maintains high standards of communications with senior leaders, sales teams, business stakeholders, and field operations management.
Manage P & L, budget and expenses
About you
5+ years of sales/account management experience required
Experience in retail/sales environment required
Proven negotiation and analytical skills with professional business acumen
Ability to define strategic plans at the market level
Ability to understand the Dyson brand and uphold its integrity
Ability to build strong business relationships
Proven leadership skills including the ability to motivate, inspire and influence people
Strong analytical skills, communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal
Comfortable working in ambiguity and leading change efforts
Ability to utilize collaboration tools effectively to maintain productivity remotely
Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Ability to lift, push, and pull (potentially overhead) up to 35lbs
Depending on geographic requirements, ability to travel up to 80%, including overnights
Strong proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite
High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred
