Role Summary
Reporting to the Head of Operations, the Operations Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management and performance of Dyson’s outsourced manufacturing operations in the Philippines. The role emphasizes effective partner management, operational process improvement, KPI delivery, and compliance with Dyson’s quality, corporate, and ethical standards.


Key Responsibilities
•    Operations Leadership:
Manage and coordinate outsourced manufacturing activities across Dyson product categories (Floor Care, Beauty, etc.), ensuring targets for quality, delivery, and cost are met.
•    Partner Management:
Serve as the primary contact for operational matters with partner manufacturing sites. Support issue resolution and escalation in collaboration with external partner teams and Dyson leadership.
•    Factory Performance Management:
Monitor, report, and improve partner factory KPIs (OTIF, quality, cost, yield, efficiency) through data-driven reviews, operational analysis, and the implementation of best practices.
•    Process & Continuous Improvement:
Identify, support, and deliver continuous improvement initiatives (lean, Six Sigma, 5S, Kaizen, Hoshin Kanri) to drive waste reduction, process optimization, and cost savings.
•    Compliance & Standards:
Ensure partner operations adhere to Dyson’s CSER, health & safety, and regulatory standards. Participate in audits, reviews, and reporting processes as required.
•    People & Team Management:
Lead, motivate, and develop direct onsite operational teams (and/or indirectly manage partner teams), promoting a positive, inclusive, and accountable work culture.
•    Stakeholder Collaboration:
Work cross-functionally with other Dyson teams in engineering, quality, and supply chain to ensure smooth project transitions, successful new product launches, and issue resolution.

Key Deliverables (First 6 Months)
•    Achieve stabilization of partner manufacturing output and on-time, in-full (OTIF) performance improvement.
•    Establish regular factory reviews and transparent reporting on operational KPIs.
•    Support delivery of continuous improvement and cost-reduction projects.
•    Ensure full partner compliance with Dyson CSER, EHS, and operational standards.
•    Build strong working relationships with external partner contacts and internal Dyson teams.

Required Experience & Qualifications
•    Minimum 5 years’ experience in manufacturing or operations management in electronics or contract manufacturing environments.
•    Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related technical field.
•    Hands-on experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, 5S, Kaizen, or Hoshin Kanari methodologies.
•    Track record of achieving results in fast-paced, high-mix manufacturing environments.
•    Experience managing or supporting teams (direct or indirect); strong influencing and communication skills.
•    High attention to detail, results-oriented, and adept at problem solving.
•    Excellent verbal and written English; Chinese language skills are an advantage.
