Dyson Business Services (DBS) organisation provides process and service excellence to support Dyson’s growth ambitions with a goal of innovating and enhancing services over time to meet the changing needs of the business. 

 

This role reports to the OtC Senior Operations Manager and is responsible for working in OTC & SOP functions with the focus in collection & deduction area for DBS OTC operation team and Sales Order Management within Sales & Operational Planning team. In this role, you will be part of the team who is responsible for DSO, cash flow forecast, cash collection, Credit note/Bad debt provision, dispute resolution and sales order management and realized the DBS vision of building Centre of Excellence (COE) 

 

Responsibilities: 

Leadership, Relationships and Strategy 

  • Forge strong relationships with global stakeholders and work in partnership with them to ensure the achievement of ambitious business objectives 

  • Lead team of Analysts and Senior Analysts delivering OTC & SOM services for APAC and Greater China Markets 

  • Ensure collaboration with other Centres in the region and partners. 

 

Process Design, Delivery, Governance and Continuous Improvement 

  • Accountable for the smooth delivery of high-quality services for End-to-End (E2E) OTC & SOM scope to all business stakeholders. 

  • Drive realization of global process standardization in co-operation with the OTC & SOM GPO teams 

  • Establish realistic KPIs for SOM process to drive process excellence year-on-year and focus on the delivery of value-added activities to the Markets. 

  • Establish strong governance within SOM team to ensure deviations from global processes are justified. 

  • Participate in regular DBS performance reviews and promptly address issues/risks in the OTC & SOM areas. 

  • Maintain a strong focus on execution and deliver short term results and successes while moving towards the long-term vision.  

  • Regular report on service delivery and key initiative. 

  • Relentless drive for continuous improvements. 

 

Transition of processes 

  • Oversee transition ensuring work is transitioned timely and in line with expectations. 

  • Ensure effective stabilization of processes transitioned. 

 

People and Culture: 

  • Build high caliber teams that are collaborative and candid. Ensure adequate back-ups for critical roles. Coach and develop talent. 

  • Cultivate Dyson culture and values of being Different, Authentic, Pioneering. 

  • Build trusting relationships with Finance leaders and partners. 

  • Ensure on-going training for teams. 

  • Champion culture of continuous improvement and reward individual and team successes. 

 

Experience 

  • A proven leader that has 8+ or more years of experience in similar role in other organization. 

  • Team handling experience of 20+ team size 

  • Experience in daily running of operations in AR processes: cash collection/disputes, credit management 

  • In depth understanding of Order-to-Cash and Sales Order Management related accountancy practices, financial controls, and compliance obligations/audit requirements 

  • Hands-on experience in finance process improvements 

  • Communicate in a concise and clear manner (verbally and written); comfortable working with senior leadership and exhibit a customer centric mindset. 

  • Comfortable in a multi-cultural work environment and working with virtual teams.  

  • Have a ‘Can-do’ attitude, highly self-motivated and deadline driven. 

  • Have the ability to motivate and encourage a productive working environment 

  • Working in a fast-paced team environment with high volume activities and changing priorities. 

  • Experience in accounting and financial systems such as SAP S4 and Blackline, a plus. 

  • Lean or Six Sigma Certification, a plus 

  • Mandarin and English is a must, Japanese and/or Korean a plus
