Graphics & Packaging Project Manager
Description
Graphics & Packaging Programme Management Team and involves managing projects related to graphics and packaging materials.
As part of a multi-disciplinary team that includes Creative, New Product Introduction (NPI), Commercial, RDD Engineering, Operation Support functions, and suppliers, you will play a crucial role in achieving the team's objectives, driving efficiency, and improving delivery quality from development through to production.
This role reports to the Graphics & Packaging Programme Manager and is responsible for planning, managing, and delivering New Product Development (NPD) projects from development to production. The key responsibilities of the Graphics & Packaging Project Manager include:
Responsibility
Manage the full G&P project (NPD/lifecycle) process for medium to complex projects, including smaller standalone/accessory SKUs or main SKUs, from the start of the project through planning, execution, monitoring, and closure.
Develop a detailed G&P project plan, incorporating timelines, milestones, resource requirements, and budgets aligned with the G&P vision.
Identify graphics requirements from all stakeholders and manage the assets needed to deliver the required graphics.
Coordinate with packaging design, RDD engineering, commercial, NPI, creative, test, operations, and other relevant teams to ensure graphics and packaging deliverables are completed on time.
Track G&P project progress, manage changes, and ensure adherence to project timelines, quality standards, and budgets.
Identify key deliverables and drivers from NPI, Category, Engineering, Operations, Marketing, Commercial, and Creative teams. Drive the project team to meet deadlines by ensuring robust schedules are in place.
Maintain communication with stakeholders by providing updates and managing expectations on a weekly, monthly, or quarterly basis.
Ensure projects are briefed, planned, managed, and approved according to the correct process. This role is responsible for ensuring all Graphics & Packaging projects adhere to Dyson’s business processes and requirements.
Identify potential risks and issues during project delivery and escalate them to relevant stakeholders, including proposed contingency plans or corrective actions.
Provide weekly progress reports to the G&P project lead, highlighting key deliverables, risks, issues, and mitigation plans.
Skills
Suitable for a Project Manager with more than 5 years of experience in graphics, packaging, print production, or a similar background.
A degree in a relevant discipline (Graphics, Design, Project Management) or equivalent experience is preferable.
Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word is preferred.
Demonstrated experience in print production, packaging, or related fields, with knowledge of New Product Design and an understanding of graphics and packaging processes.
Knowledge of Dyson products is an advantage.
Excellent English language skills, both written and verbal.
Strong communication skills: able to listen and convey complex issues concisely and accurately. Able to tailor communication to the right audience, share the right information with the right people at the right time, and maintain a professional, clear, and concise approach.
Exceptional interpersonal skills and cultural awareness: able to build productive working relationships within the team and across the business, and influence others effectively.
