The Retail Team is responsible for bringing our engineering, technology and products to life through our retail experiences, increasing brand awareness, brand advocacy and driving conversion. Like everything at Dyson, our retail journey is designed with our customers at the center. Our aim is to create inspired and highly differentiated consumer experiences that amplify the pioneering technology we make.
The Opportunity:
As a Direct Retail Concession (Beauty) Intern at Dyson, you will work closely with the Concession Key Account Manager in delivering outstanding beauty experience at our main Beauty partner in the Netherlands: de Bijenkorf. In charge of Beauty Activation & Operation in the direct retail team, you will take ownership for perfect execution and experience across our most premium Offline & Online beauty locations in NL, while supporting the Key Account Manager in the daily operations.
This role will enable the Intern to have in-depth knowledge of physical retail sales, customer engagement, team management and long-term strategy approach.

Beauty is one of our key focus areas. It is absolutely crucial for us that we deliver a perfect experience across all consumer touchpoints but more than ever in our physical direct location. This is where consumers and future owners experience our brand and technology in real life. This is the place where we will in or loose. In this mission you are in charge to ensure a perfect execution across our key beauty locations. This does include performance follow ups with our experts and stylists community, perfect instore execution of our beauty launches and the backend operation to ensure the shopper experience runs smooth.
Sales strategy Implementation
- Implementing with the sales reps (stylists) all elements of the sales funnel: consumer interactions, high quality product demonstrations, sales execution. Constant monitoring and supervision to ensure top execution.
- Bringing sales initiatives to meet and exceed sales targets.
Daily Operational support:
- Support & collaborate with the Key Account Manager in delivering the key operational processes:
- Manage EDI processes, data upload/maintenance
- Handle in-store services, loss/damage incidents etc..
- Collaborate on monthly stock reconciliation process
Driving Stores performance
- Weekly delivering sales (sell out) numbers at all de Bijenkorf doors /MDZ and presenting them to the wider organization.
- Weekly assessing stores performance metrics (sales vs targets) identifying areas for improvement and implementing correcting measures.
Customer Experience & Activations
- Delivering highest standards of customer experience across all locations at any time
- Aligning with retail activation team on instore executions, fixture updates and maintenance
- Leading initiatives, implementing control mechanics, and performing constant trainings, coaching to ensure top consumer experience.
- Executing in store beauty activations (masterclasses, pop - ups)
- collaborating with training manager to ensure teams are fully trained and ready for the events.
What We’re Looking For:
- Currently pursuing or recently graduated from a degree in Retail, Sales, general Business Marketing/Retail Activation, and/or related field
- Any hands-on experience in Retail/Sales/Marketing/Retail Activation is a plus
- Proactive, adaptable, and eager to contribute
- Strong organizational and analytical skills, with attention to detail
- Willingness to take ownership and learn quickly
- Clear communicator in English (both written and verbal)
- Driving license
- Dutch speaker
