About the Role: 

As Sales Operations Director, this senior level position with the Dyson US Indirect Sales organization will serve as a key link between sales leadership, channel, demand, supply, logistics, finance, and category teams. Your primary responsibility will be building the monthly forecast and executing attainment as well as enabling account management team to be productive & successful. This role will influence key cross functional partners to optimize internal processes, such as the demand planning cycle, channel and promo management, and supply planning. You will also work closely with sales directors to manage overall account profitability and present the current indirect sales results in regular leadership calls.  

Key responsibilities: 

  • Monthly sales order attainment tracking, including running weekly LE and sell out meetings 
  • Summarize total Indirect performance and opportunities and create the appropriate structure/format to action top priority issues 
  • Leader for process and ways of working change; find gaps and propose more efficient solutions to unlock more bandwidth for entire Sales team 
  • Support Demand Planning & Rev Ops team on ATP, promo approvals, risk & opps management, monthly/annual planning, setting targets, etc 
  • Lead the operations team including overseeing CPFR process with key customers; partner w/Demand Planning on ADR’s; support sales LE, SOP, supply planning. 
  • Lead Sales Enablement including, but not limited to: Annual customer program management; JBP coordination; Key customer meeting prep; QBR/scorecard maintenance; Customer business review preparation 

Inspire, lead, motivate and coach the team through regular feedback, 1:1s, Personal Development Plans. 

  • Manage processes to ensure that the team is as effective as possible to meet business objectives. 
  • Identify gaps in knowledge and skills in the team and build appropriate solutions. 
  • Develop talent and succession plans as well as team transitions, probationary periods. 

Contribute to the Dyson US organization 

  • Serve as an active and high performing member of the team 
  • Partner with other team members to support new opportunities as they arise 
  • Be able to challenge self and others in accepting the norm, while working towards best practices 

Fulfill other duties as necessary and assigned. 

  • Relish the opportunity to pick up new activities that fall broadly in the purpose of the role

About You:

  • Bachelor Degree or plus required 
  • 10 years+ experience in sales/national account sales and management experience in required 
  • Strong sales and negotiation skills and contract negotiation experience 
  • Leadership skills for effective communication, influencing and persuasion 
  • Proven experience in sales, preferably within an indirect channel environment 
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities 
  • Proficiency in managing cross-functional teams and leading sales operations 
  • Familiarity with logistics processes and order management systems 
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and work well under pressure 
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in managing retailer scorecards 
  • Proactive approach in influencing and executing channel strategies 
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of financial implications in sales operations 
  • Ability to understand the Dyson brand and uphold its integrity 
  • Strong communication and presentation skills 
  • Ability to think strategically and develop long-term plans for the business 
  • Solid understanding of and ability to manage a P&L and Balance Sheet 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
