Our Communications team creates and manages our narrative. Working closely with senior stakeholders, they deploy our stories strategically through press, online media and internal comms to build our reputation. Our high-profile reputation helps grow our business by indirectly selling our technology and positions Dyson as a great place to work.
About the role
As our Senior Communications Manager for DACH, you’ll be at the forefront of Dyson’s story in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. You’ll develop and implement a communications strategy that amplifies our brand, aligns with business goals, and builds enduring relationships with key media, influencers, and thought leaders – especially within technology and beauty sectors.
Reporting to the Communications Director EMEA and working closely with the DACH leadership team, you’ll take ownership of executing dynamic campaigns and corporate communications across all Dyson products and initiatives. You will coordinate the narrative internally and externally, acting as the main contact for PR and influencer agencies, and managing a small in-house team. From launching new products, handling media relations, and activating influencer partnerships, to managing crisis communications and supporting major corporate initiatives, you’ll help ensure Dyson’s reputation is protected and enhanced. You’ll also actively monitor trends, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities to keep Dyson a step ahead.
As our Senior Communications Manager, you will:
- Design and execute integrated communications strategies for the DACH cluster
- Develop media and influencer relations plans, securing top-tier coverage and reviews
- Directly manage and nurture relationships with German, Austrian, and Swiss media and influencers
- Oversee PR and influencer agencies, ensuring clear KPIs and monitoring effectiveness
- Manage and coach a team, fostering growth and excellence
- Organise and deliver high-impact digital and physical events
- Proactively monitor the media landscape, identifying opportunities and managing potential issues
- Lead on internal and corporate communications projects, including partnerships with institutions and support for local CSR initiatives
- Advise local executives and leadership on communications and crisis response
- Ensure efficient spend and reporting for the DACH communications budget
About you
To succeed in the role, you will have:
- Minimum 10 years’ communications/PR experience in multinational or agency environments
- Fluent in German and English, with strong writing and influencing skills
- Excellent personal network with technology/beauty media and influencers in the DACH region
- Demonstrated crisis and reputation management experience
- Strong project and agency management skills
- Digital, social media, and event activation expertise
- Creative, adaptable, and data-driven mindset
- Collaborative, proactive, and credible in business partnering
- Outstanding presentation and stakeholder engagement skills
