About the role
Accountable for all activities within electronics hardware team for the Haircare category consisting of several sub function team of electronics project management, hardware design & integration, sensing system and electronics system verification. Responsible for ensuring robust hardware solutions that meet product performance, safety, and reliability.
Responsible for ensuring deliverables from the Hardware team are of high maturity to meet project requirements, be on time and on cost for PCBA and other hardware modules or sub-assembly.
Provide technical leadership and work closely with team members to solve problems related with product safety & EMC, reliability, and Quality and its integration of electronics hardware solution within the product.
Set and deliver the strategy, goals and target KPIs (Key performance Indicator) of high performing electronics hardware team. Actively identify gaps and areas for continuous improvement in design capability, process, cost, time to market, safety, and reliability
Responsible for the professional development of all individuals within their team through providing coaching, mentoring and holding regular career conversations with individuals on their career aspirations and development plans.
Build capability and capacity to balance between NPD and sustaining projects and meet long-term program needs by identifying skill gaps within the team and taking responsibility for each team member wellbeing, performance, and each individual professional goal.
Drive a culture for continuous improvement in product safety, reliability, quality, cost down and development time reduction. The aim of this structure is to build knowledge so that we improve organically.
Establish excellent communication and collaborative mindset with other RDD Leaders across Engineering and Category teams to solve problem and introduce improvement collectively.
Report and ensure clear communication of the design status, ensuring the relevant system electronics design risks are clearly communicated to your peers and upwards.
Lead by example, setting high standard of work ethics.
Skills
As a Senior Engineering Manager, you will be an experienced engineering management and capable of working unsupervised leading a team to deliver high quality design solutions. Experience of the whole product development lifecycle, from initial concept through to mass production and product sustainability is mandatory.
Degree qualified in a relevant electronics discipline.
At least minimum 10 years’ experience, preferably in design knowledge and experience in major aspect of Electronics: Power Electronics, Motor Drive, Battery Management, Analogue, Digital and Sensing technology.
