About the Role:
The Senior Finance Manager – Fixed Costs will partner with the US and Canada Customer Service and Dyson Direct Retail organizations to provide timely and accurate forecasting, reporting and analytics around Overheads, Logistics and Other Cost of Sales related to owner experience and service.
Overheads – Planning, Forecasting and Analysis + Cost Management Oversee US and Canada Fixed Costs including Customer Care, Logistics, Market Overheads, Retail and Demonstrator Overhead Cost Center reporting and analysis
Provide accurate, relevant and reliable month end figures for each cost center along with variance analyses explaining the results vs. prior year, prior forecast and budget
Partner with key senior stakeholders to provide finance support and analytics
Partner with Market Finance Directors and VP of Finance across the Americas region to provide reporting and insights on performance
Collaborate with group stakeholders across timelines and specific requests/QBR reporting
Provide ad-hoc financial support for cost center managers. For example, supporting business case justifications and scenario modeling
Conduct monthly overhead forecast meetings with department heads
Develop monthly overhead ZBB forecast based upon drivers provided by the department heads
Analyze forecast vs. prior year, prior forecast and budget and provide analysis to department heads and US and Canada leadership team
Oversee the capex and depreciation fixed asset ledger report
Lead and develop a team of two Senior Financial Analysts
Seek opportunities to improve the process, systems, reporting and analytics within Dyson and be able to present recommendations and influence organization to implement change
Logistics
Provide support to Supply Chain and Demand teams to submit monthly forecast
Provide insights and analytics into Cost per unit trends vs Budget, forecast and prior year
Direct Retail
Provide full P&L reporting and analysis to Direct Retail organization, helping the team optimize sales performance, investment opportunities and cost management to maximize profitability across portfolio
Customer Service
Provide full P&L reporting and analysis to Customer Service organization, helping the team optimize call center operations
Service & Repair Analytics
Gain knowledge and understanding of and accurately report on all service and repair parts, overhead and exchange costs
Provide full P&L reporting and analysis to Repair Experience organization, supporting 30 locations across the US and Canada and partnering closely with operations leadership to develop and execute long-term portfolio strategy
About You:
BS/BA required; MBA/CPA a plus
Minimum 7-12 years of experience in finance operations with strong analytical experience and P&L ownership
Prior experience with a technology or consumer products company is preferred
Strong knowledge of modeling/forecasting, business planning, budgeting, management reporting
Experience with Onstream
Experience with Capex and Depreciation treatments
Methodical / driver-based business planning capability
Ability to earn trust and confidence of business partners and be a strong team player
Previous experience managing multiple initiatives and priorities
Ability to influence and negotiate at all levels of the organization
Ability to understand and create value from data analytics to impact the business
Ability to clearly present and communicate complex data analysis
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Demonstrated previous success in a fast paced and agile environment
