Communications & Government Affairs Team in Dyson Greater China is dedicated to elevating Dyson’s brand awareness and safeguarding our corporate reputation across diverse audiences in the region. Working closely with key stakeholders in GC, we strategically drive sustaining impact through press, social media, employee engagement and government relations. Our esteemed reputation drives business growth and retains top talents that empower our sustaining success.

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Senior Manager for Internal & Reputation Communications in Greater China. The candidate is expected to possess exceptional agility and a result-driven mindset to effectively achieve communications goals. He or she will support Dyson business in GC by advocating Dyson’s culture and values, facilitating understanding of business goals and objectives across the region, enhancing employer branding, at the same time, crafting corporate narratives on company legacy, CSR and our local commitment to bolster Dyson’s reputation among key stakeholders in the region.

Key Responsibility

Reputation/Corporate Communications

  • Develop Dyson corporate narrative in local context focusing on our CSR and sustainability initiative, driving public impact on James Dyson Award, STEM education programs in China, and other initiatives empowered by James Dyson Foundation.
  • Collaborated closely with the CSR project team to design and execute communication plans aimed at increasing awareness and social impact for JDA, as well as local CSR and sustainability initiatives, enhancing leadership and advocacy for the corporate brand.
  • Leveraged corporate milestones, technology leadership, business highlights, and other key initiatives to map and manage the communications calendar for reputation building. Captured earned media opportunities while creating and executing campaigns to support both short-term and long-term reputation communications goals.
  • Identify and manage relations with key media outlets, influencers, and government related channel accounts for reputation comms, creating always-on comms opportunities.
  • Play a pivotal role in reputation management process.

Internal Communications

  • Lead internal comms and employer branding strategy and implementation in the region. Utilize investigative, copywriting, events, and storytelling skills to surface authentic, different, and pioneering stories from around Dyson.
  • Collaborate with Director of Comms & GA to support GC Leadership Team in amplifying and enhancing alignment on the business priorities, challenges and directions, providing support to key stakeholders on the messaging for all communications and announcements.
  • Partner closely with Product Communications team to understand and communicate our latest products, devising internal strategies for launches and campaign, motivating employees to be our brand ambassadors while encouraging pride to the company.
  • Work with the Comms & HR teams on strategy of employee branding, and bring it to life through CSR initiatives, recognition programs, and other people-led initiatives, fostering an environment where people feel proud, energized and engaged.
  • Actively participate in Dyson’s Global Internal Communications community while supporting Hong Kong and Taiwan markets to ensure consistent messaging across the region.

About you:

  • Passionate about our technology and company, eager to share our stories to diverse internal and external audiences.
  • Holds bachelor’s degree or above with 10+ years of experience in relevant comms functions.
  • Outstanding understanding of corporate communications and China corporate media landscape, with established relationship with top media outlets in China.
  • Possess advanced bilingual writing, editing and content creation skills with an eye for a story and attention to detail, along with excellent verbal communications skills for presentations, listening and influencing.
  • Experienced of developing and implementing internal communications and employee engagement campaigns in a fast-paced organisation, with a keen sensitivity to organizational goals and values.
  • Event and project management expertise, capable of executing and well-organized events while maintaining composure under pressure and adapting to changes and challenges.
  • Proficient in managing diverse communications channels, including website, Corp WeChat, internal portals, and other digital tools.
  • Exhibits tact and diplomacy in handling confidential matters.
