About the role:
Looking for experienced and highly skilled Senior Marketing Manager, who thrives in a high paced, dynamic environment, has passion for new technology and consumer products, and has skillset to implement the latest marketing strategies.
The Sr. Marketing Manager of Environmental care will lead every facet of a product or a project’s journey including the day-to-day management and execution of media plans (from briefing and asset handover through campaign optimization and reporting in partnership with internal and external media teams), and budget management. Working with a cross-functional team across Media, PR/Communications, Legal, Graphics, Retail Marketing, and our Group Commercial team in the UK are essential.
The ideal candidate has experience in digital marketing and is comfortable analyzing and using data to inform decision-making. They are a team player and eager to lean in where the business needs demand.
Key Accountabilities:
- Develop and execute clear and compelling marketing plans which will drive incremental sales growth, share gains and positive brand attributes
- Manage existing and new campaign launches
- Develop the media strategy, channel plan, monitor budget and review ROI of media spend, working closely with media team and agency
- Work with both market Center of Excellence and group/global counterparts on creative asset development for campaigns, launches, website creation, and content development
- Develop, communicate and gain buy-in for the category strategy from stakeholders across the business (both Group and US), and ensure progress against the plan is well communicated
- Ensure monthly and yearly volume, net revenue and margin targets are met, closely monitoring the P&L and production forecast for the environmental care category
Campaign Development:
- Create marketing plan for the year to support key seasonality, new products, and events
- Ensure alignment across all marketing channels on key consumer targets and marketing objectives
- Create all briefs for creative needs and asset development/management with internal creative teams
- Partner with media team who manages media plan and execution with agency and internal teams
- Lead social content creation and integration within organization – brief, production, management of results and optimization throughout campaign
- Develop content partnerships with media partners to develop content to support our marketing objectives
- Manage events and partnerships with other brands and organizations to further support our marketing objectives
Budget Management:
- Help manage the category marketing budget on monthly basis
- Support the annual marketing planning and budgeting process for assigned category
- Provide monthly insight into the business forecasting cycle including appropriate volume forecasting and business trends
- Negotiate partner programs and media content partnerships
- Evaluate ROI of marketing campaigns and adjust plans as necessary
About you:
- 8-12 years strategic brand marketing experience required, at least 2 of which must be in a manager level role; evidence of consistent progression in responsibility required.
- Bachelor’s Degree required; preferably in Marketing, Advertising or Business Administration
- Experience with consumer products and/or retail required.
- A consumer technology / electronics background is strongly preferred but would be open to other experience such as health and CPG experience, specifically with an understanding of the premium / luxury market.
- Home or technology category experience are highly desired
- Strong communication skills; this person is able to present information (both written and oral) clearly and concisely. This person needs to be able to communicate clearly at all levels within an organization.
- Team player; able to manage and motivate people, this person is able to build strong relationships with a wide range of people (across all Dyson markets). This person works cooperatively across the business and puts the good of the business above their own career interests.
- Strategic thinking; this person must demonstrate the ability to take a wide view. Must be able to create, execute and manage a sound marketing plan.
- Problem Solving; must be able to critically analyze data and tackle problems and present viable solutions
- Influencing skills; this person will have the ability to lead cross functionally and influence up, down and across the business.
- Flexibility; this person will need to adaptable, be open to taking on more and have the ability to adapt plans and direction as the business indicates.
- Entrepreneurial spirit- must be able to deal with ambiguity and willing to take risks as needed.
- Be passionate about the product- this person needs to be passionate about Dyson, technology and engineering.
- Project management skills- this person must be able to manage budgets and deadlines – and plan, achieve and evaluate results individually and through others.
- Ability to travel occasionally as required.
