The Innovation and Technology group (CITO) is focused on driving the adoption of innovative and emerging technologies at Dyson. Our work includes transitioning to an in-house capability of subject expert practitioners, providing key platforms that drive development and analytics, and driving continuous features and capabilities for customers, partners and employees. We also have a portfolio of shared services that are available across Dyson.

The Commercial and Connectivity team provides bespoke digital solutions that eliminate complexity and increase efficiency as our business grows and evolves. Forming a large part of the Global IT function, the team partners with business stakeholders globally to understand their exact needs and provides development and delivery services. The team is responsible for the end-to-end design, delivery, and support of all business systems that enable Dyson's global commercial, connected, operational, and enterprise business processes.

The Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Retail Systems team is responsible for the strategic roadmap, design, deployment, and support of all business applications that enable Dyson's global planning, sourcing, manufacturing, supply chain, aftersales and retail operations. The team consists of project managers, business analysts, IT product managers, and solution architects, divided into areas such as Retail Systems based on the business and technology focus.

The Office of the CIO (OCIO) ensures there is a consistent and strategic approach to IT solutions delivered through Global IT functions and regions in partnership with the broader Dyson business. The function consists of Global Portfolio Management, Service Integration and Management, Enterprise Solutions (SAP) and SAP Architecture. OCIO focuses on standards development, planning, governance, performance management, and alignment to Dyson’s SAP Strategy and Roadmap enabled through design and solution reviews.

Our Research, Design and Development (RDD) and New Product Innovation (NPI) team is responsible for business partnerships, product management and global delivery. The function has two domains. The Service Management team focuses on implementing, managing, and delivering IT services to meet business objectives. And the Project and Product Management team introduces new technologies and enhances existing platforms to enable engineers to develop the latest products.

Our IT Corporate Functions team partners with global business areas such as Finance and Legal to create an IT Technology Roadmap that supports their strategies. The team is responsible for managing business relationships and technical products globally, from ideation to execution, and timely replacement or retirement of products. They leverage leading technologies to help stakeholders work smarter, automate processes and educate themselves to improve the results they deliver for Dyson.

The teams are present in APAC, Greater China, the Americas, and EMEA. The APAC IT team, located in Singapore and other markets such as Japan, is responsible for technology delivery and operations in APAC. The Greater China IT team, based in Shanghai and Hong Kong, specialises in product management, support, and cyber risk and compliance. Americas IT delivers technology across the region and works with regional businesses to drive growth. The EMEA IT team focuses on IT transformation and service, providing localised systems and services, security, and leadership for local teams.

The Estates IT team is responsible for providing technology design, delivery, and service transition for new Dyson locations around the world – including RDD facilities, manufacturing sites, and direct retail stores. Working closely with IT service owners, the team covers all IT areas, from Infrastructure to Audio Visual, Workstations and End User Computing. The team is responsible for delivering new digital workplace capabilities such as concierge services and smart building technology. They also support the Global Estates and Facilities teams with their enterprise technology needs, such as office design, building management and more.

As part of the Cyber Security and IT Risk function, our team is committed to ensuring the confidentiality, integrity and availability of our IT data and systems. We provide cyber threat intelligence, offensive and defensive services, and investigate targeted cyber threats. We define security policies and standards, simulate attacks, and provide guidance on measuring security compliance, resilience, disaster recovery, and maturity. Our focus is on Digital and Enterprise IT, Product, and Manufacturing security domains.

Also part of the Cyber Security and IT Risk function, we are responsible for designing and building defences against cyber-attacks and protecting critical information and systems from the latest threats. This exciting and dynamic field requires constant learning, adapting to new challenges, and a unique combination of creativity, technical expertise, and problem-solving skills. We design secure networks, develop secure software, and test systems for vulnerabilities – playing a critical role in safeguarding sensitive data and systems for organisations of all sizes.
