With a new office in Auckland in 2018, Dyson New Zealand hopes to triple in size and output – a bold challenge. It requires an equally bold team to execute new product launches with fearless marketing. Tasked with realising our retail ambitions for this market, the team is commercially-oriented, with a focus on customer experience.
Productive working environment
The ‘City of Sails’ was an obvious location for Dyson’s New Zealand outpost. Based in Mount Wellington, the recently refurbished office is an open and collaborative space for Dyson people to work in. There’s plenty of natural light and modern furnishings, along with on-site parking. And the team are surrounded by a range of amenities, with gyms, child care centres and the Sylvia Park shopping centre only a stone’s throw away.
High quality of life
When looking to socialise, Aucklanders are spoilt for choice. There's the chic Ponsonby Central area for cafés and gourmet eateries, or the ‘K Road’ (Karangahape Road), famed for its clubs and bars. For a more laid-back approach, the city abounds with green spaces. Auckland Domain has stunning views over Hauraki Gulf and Rangitoto Island, and is near to the Central Business District. Closer to the office, the local Mutukaroa-Hamlins Hill Park is perfect for a lunchtime stroll.
