Leading with curiosity

I’ve always been drawn to technology—how it works, why it matters, and how it can make life easier. That’s what pulled me toward Dyson. I wanted to work somewhere I could proudly stand behind the products, and genuinely help people find solutions that make a difference. Retail felt like the perfect place to do that.

As Assistant Store Manager, no two days are ever the same. We start with a quick huddle to set goals and check in as a team of four. From there, I make sure the day runs smoothly—supporting the team, jumping in with customers, and keeping operations on track. We’ve built a strong rhythm of collaboration and trust, and I think our customers can feel that too.

What keeps me excited? The constant stream of innovation. I love diving into new technology and getting to share it with customers. There’s something really satisfying about explaining how something works and seeing someone light up because they’ve learned something new or found the perfect machine.

I've also learned to better read the room—picking up on cues when customers seem unsure or hesitant. I take the lead with simple, engaging demos and proactive conversations. It helps customers feel at ease, builds trust, and ensures they leave with a product that truly fits their needs.

My favourite product? The Wash G1. Paired with the V12, it makes a huge difference. I love how it separates clean and dirty water—so simple, so smart, and the floor just feels squeaky clean.

One of my proudest moments was when our store ranked second in the APAC All Star Awards in 2024. That win was a big deal for us. It was the result of real teamwork, passion, and persistence—and it felt good to see that recognised.

I’m keen to grow further at Dyson. The more I learn, the more I want to lead—supporting my team and helping drive results in bigger ways.
