Curiosity meets innovation

As a kid, I had always faced the world with curiosity, often dreaming of how I could play a part in solving real-world problems. 20 years later, I find myself in an organisation full of highly capable engineers, doing just that.

In the relatively short time that I have been here as a graduate, I have had the privilege of learning more about the research and manufacturing industry. My team constantly encourages me to think on my feet, be independent, and present my ideas to stakeholders, while giving me the opportunity to work on highly confidential projects. I have been challenged to solve complicated problems and get my hands dirty working on different prototypes and design iterations – despite having been here less than a year! But that is what's great about working at Dyson: we dive headfirst to solve a problem. As a graduate, I have many questions, but with the support of my mentors and peers who are more than willing to teach and collaborate with me, I am able to improve and keep on pushing.

Here at Dyson, I am surrounded by people who are equally curious and enthusiastic, serious about the tiniest bits of detail. People who have come from lots of different backgrounds, working together to achieve one goal. Most importantly, I am surrounded by people who have guided me through difficult milestones in my career and are proud of the growth that I have shown over time. I guess what they say is true, when you are surrounded by great individuals, you will be inclined to try and be one as well.

Joining Dyson is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. It is a career-defining, mind-bending (quite literally at times), and overall awesome experience that I can pride myself on.
