I have always liked working with people and helping them find solutions. HR provides an opportunity to build relationships across the organization. I work within the People Enablement team as an HR Manager supporting the Canadian business. We are responsible for delivering HR programs and services and are involved in every aspect of the business in some capacity. I am responsible for partnering with senior managers and helping them execute business initiatives.
When I first joined Dyson in July 2017, the HR team was centralized within Canada and consisted of only 2 people. In the last three years, we have managed to regionalize the HR teams across the Americas and have completely changed the way HR operates. This has changed the scope of my role immensely and has allowed me to be involved in so many different aspects of HR and projects. The career growth has been fantastic.
Dyson is an amazing company that is filled with people who are passionate about the brand and where the company is heading. We are growing quickly and constantly entering into new categories and changing those categories for the better which makes it exciting because every day is different. I have learned more in the last three years than all of my previous experience combined, most of all to continue to try new approaches and ways of looking at problems.
I truly enjoy the work I do and the team I work for. This is what keeps me coming to work every day, that and the latte machine!
