Our Singapore story started in 2004 and is a key part of Dyson’s global engineering strategy. Today, more than 1,100 Dyson people work across three key locations. It will also soon be the location of our Advanced Automotive Manufacturing Facility.
Singapore is now a base for our global advanced manufacturing centre, our sales and marketing hub, and home to Dyson's state-of-the-art technology hub. We're looking to grow our engineering and automotive teams in Singapore significantly by 2020 alongside supply chain management, logistics, finance and HR professionals.
In 2017 we opened the doors to the Singapore Technology Centre, putting Dyson firmly at the heart of Singapore’s global innovation hub. The centre draws on the country’s highly skilled workforce and brings together hardware, software and advanced manufacturing expertise. The facility is located among a bustling start-up community and next to the National University of Singapore. So we're at the heart of the region's cutting-edge technological development.
Our South East Asia commercial hub is responsible for Dyson’s huge ambitions across Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia and the Philippines. As one of our newest outposts, it’s already outgrown its first home and is now located in the heart of Singapore’s research and development centre – Fusionopolis. The office has a raw concrete finish, accented with steel and glass, reflecting our industrial and engineering heritage. The team itself is full of pioneering spirit, exploring and forging new paths.
Dyson invests heavily into digital motor technology. Our advanced manufacturing facility in the west of Singapore produces the Dyson digital motor. It’s at the heart of many of our machines including the cord-free vacuum, the Dyson Airblade™ hand dryer and the Dyson Supersonic™ hair dryer. The facility made its first motor in 2012 and today has the capacity to produce 13 million motors a year. It’s an exciting, cutting-edge environment, where engineers and technicians work alongside highly automated and robotic production lines. Together they ensure that every motor is precision-made and delivers the quality and power that makes Dyson machines different.
Our purpose built automotive advanced manufacturing facility is confirmed and due for completion in 2020. Ahead of that, our automotive team are already making excellent progress from the state-of-the-art Hullavington Technology Campus, Wiltshire, UK.
The Automotive programme is the next exciting step in the Dyson’s technology journey. We enjoy pushing the boundaries of what others have defined as ‘impossible’. Our rapidly growing Automotive team is a blend of both Dyson engineers and fresh talent from a range of industries. Now is the perfect time to join our expanding team. Throughout 2019 we will be looking for a number of individuals to join our Supply Chain Team, Quality Team, Procurement Team and Advanced Manufacturing Team.
