In 2022, Dyson opened a new office at the Unity Centre in Krakow, Poland. The space is well connected, situated in the heart of the city, and located near the famous Szkieletor building. Home to our Software, Information Technology, Finance, People, and Business Enablement teams. We’re growing fast and continue to expand.
Software is an important part of Dyson's future. At our Krakow Software Development Centre our agile teams develop software for Dyson machines. This can include any of our technology, through collaboration with other Dyson engineers around the world. Our work covers embedded software, iOS and Android development for the Dyson app, along with cloud services, vision systems, machine learning, robotics and algorithm development for our intelligent machines. Additionally, we build automated test systems, and integrate the tools we use to power our continuous integration pipeline.
Our teams are composed of IT analysts, project managers, software architects, and development leads, all adept at managing a broad spectrum of IT projects. Their role extends beyond mere support; they are integral to Dyson's various departments, including research & development, corporate support, security, e-commerce, supply chain, and retail. This team is not only instrumental in sustaining daily operations or programs, but also plays a pivotal role in evolving a distinguished IT center of excellence. Their acumen ensures that Dyson stays at the vanguard of technological innovation, fueling the company's growth in the competitive global arena.
Founded in 2021, Dyson Business Services has expanded to a global workforce of over 400 employees, including a dedicated team of approximately 150 based in our center in Krakow, Poland. As a crucial component of Dyson's Operating Model, we collaborate with the business to transform the way we work and enable Dyson achieve its growth objectives. We support and empower our colleagues in all major functions—Finance, Procurement, HR/People, and Supply Chain—to meet their operational and strategic goals, driving change together within Dyson.
