Malmesbury

Our Malmesbury campus was established in 1993. It is the base for over 4,500 Dyson people and also home to the Dyson Institute of Engineering and Technology.

The heart of Dyson

The vast Malmesbury site is home to thousands of people, including James and Jake Dyson, who spend their days strategising, inventing technology and telling the Dyson story to the world.

Inspiring surroundings

Malmesbury is a unique place to work. There’s a Harrier Jump Jet in the car park, a Lightning Jet hanging from the ceiling in our cafe and other examples of inspirational engineering around the campus. There are landscaped nature walks, intriguing art works, a free gym and two large cafes.

An open secret

Our secluded location helps us to protect our ideas and stay independent-minded. Yet nearby are the fashionable cities of Bristol and Bath (where a young James Dyson invented cyclone technology).

Diversity across campus

Malmesbury is home to our top secret Engineering teams, all of our Commercial functions, our customer support team and the latest Dyson Institute student intake. It's a vibrant community pulling in people from across a wide range of skill sets and disciplines. Each year, Dyson people team-up to take part in Challenge Dyson, a light-hearted internal event focused around unusual challenges. This year the brief was to create Dyson’s very own escape room experience. Over a week, teams in South East Asia, China and Japan took on the challenge, and 200 new Graduates and Undergraduate engineers were put through their paces with the puzzles welcoming them to Dyson.
