Product excellence

Dyson’s Quality teams are found all around the world. We have engineers and specialists based around our manufacturing hubs in Malaysia, Singapore, Philippines, China and Mexico as well as engineers based in the markets to be close to our customers: China, Australia, Korea, Japan, USA, UK and Germany. Although spread around the world, we are one team with the sole aim of achieving great product reliability and satisfaction.

Product Quality

Our Product and Category Quality team ensure that quality is embedded throughout the product development process - from initial concept to final production. Our methods predict and prevent issues, enabling Dyson products to be reliable and satisfying to our owners.

Manufacturing and Supplier Quality

Manufacturing and Supplier Quality provides systematic monitoring and evaluation of all quality aspects of Dyson’s Contract Manufacturing and Suppliers’ output to assure our products meet the needs, expectations, and requirements of our customers. Where poor product quality does impact our customers, we drive the corrective action with speed and precision.

Product Safety

Product Safety Engineers, working alongside engineering development teams, are responsible for ensuring all our products are developed and manufactured in a way that does not present any safety risk to our consumers or the public. Once a product is launched, the team diligently oversees its performance as it is utilised by our customers. The team also provides technical resource and support in the closure of all potential safety related issues.

 

Market Quality

The Market Quality team performs robust investigation, triage, analysis and classification of product reliability, safety and satisfaction throughout the owner lifecycle across our markets globally. The team also drives quality risk mitigation and cost avoidance in markets where Dyson operates with significant commercial activity.

Business Intelligence

We are responsible for assessing the success of Dyson’s products in market and identifying the drivers of reliability and satisfaction in our technologies. Using data from a wide range of sources and business domains, we unlock valuable insights that can be fed back into the business to ensure that we continue to delight Dyson owners with innovative and ground-breaking technology.

Quality Excellence and Strategy

Working closely with leadership across the business, we convert the Quality team's vision into important strategic projects that will further enhance the quality of Dyson products. We partner with functions and teams across the business, including RDD and Operations, to ensure these initiatives are delivered throughout the product lifecycle. Our goal is to enable Dyson people to achieve excellence through knowledge and continual improvement.
